This sketch has been kicking around my sketchbook for donkey's years... I drew the pencil idea MONTHS ago! I've only just got around to finishing it ^^ (There's loads more in there I plan to finish also... watch this space!)
It's based on the framed photo you see in the starting credits of the anime, but it is also seen in the manga - there is a whole chapter devoted to the photo being taken and Hohenheim's old home life. (He puts up a rope swing before he leaves ^^ Ah Hohenheim... he wants to be a good father really, bless him ^^) I tried to use matching colours so the kids look like they take after their parents. The series keeps saying Ed looks like his dad (and hint that Al looks more like his mum) so I tried to show this. Hohenheim has a bushy muzzle for a beard...
